While Kayla has special needs, she continues to put forth much effort to overcome obstacles and reach her potential. She is talkative and social and has no trouble making friends. Kayla's favorite animals are alligators, because "they're pretty." She enjoys going to Busch Gardens and Disney World and playing Monopoly. Kayla would love to be a veterinarian when she grows up and her goal this year is to find a loving family. Kayla considers listening skills as an important trait in being a good person.

Otis is two years old. He is an amazing child who has survived a lot of challenges in his young life. He can recognize his caregiver's voice even though he often doesn’t show any facial expressions. When he shows a facial expression like a vibrant smile, it lightens up the room and can bring joy to anyone around him. Otis has medical needs that require 24 hour care and he will likely need it for the rest of his life. He needs a family who will understand his medical needs and provide him with as much stimulus as possible to help him develop to his full potential. Any interested families should live close to hospitals and medical centers that can meet Otis’ medical needs. Otis needs a family that has a strong commitment to loving and caring for special needs children.

Like a tornado, this feisty and fierce child will keep you on the go. Moving from place to place, caught in a whirl, Lavarion's young life has sometimes been rotated, spun around and out of control. Despite his distrust of his environment, Lavarion still longs for a forever family to read books with, to pick up a game of basketball with and to create a picture-perfect day. He hopes his family will also weather all the storms. Lavarion dreams of belonging to a family that will love and support him.

These three siblings are bright-eyed and hopeful as they wait for a family that will help them learn, grow and overcome the struggles of their lives. Shane (right), 8, is charming and cautious around new people and is slow to warm up. Yet, he loves being the center of attention and will do whatever it takes to be in the spotlight. Catching and recognizing him while behaving will ensure that he continues getting caught acting appropriately. Shane would thrive with a special family, one that is able and willing to tough out the trying times yet be persistent with his love for attention. He enjoys the outdoors and playing with his sister and brother. Shane has loads of potential, but he requires the most important thing: an accepting, loving, permanent adoptive home that has a lot of patience.

Connor (bottom), 6, is a handsome and charming youngster who enjoys playing with toys, video games, football and soccer. Like his siblings, he loves to be outdoors. He can pretend to be shy when one first meets him, but once he warms up, he will melt your heart instantly. Connor is very good at finding the games on your cell phone. No cell phone available? Then, his next favorite indoor game is Tic-Tac-Toe, which he always seems to win. Connor is as attached to his brother and sister as they are to him.

Kirstin, 10, is a beautiful young lady who takes her role of big sister very seriously. She speaks quietly yet can become quite talkative and captivating simultaneously. She is full of intelligent questions regarding her life and is bursting with adoration for all people that have become part of her life. She also loves the outdoors and her long legs help her in keeping up with the fast pace of her brothers. Kirstin is very family oriented and would benefit from a family that could provide her with lots of love and positive energy. She prides herself on being a bit of a "fashionista" and is happy showing off her wardrobe.

The perfect family for this trio is one that will accept the challenges of adopting three children along with having the dedication to find pleasure and joy as being their "forever family."

Jordan is a little engineer in the making. This young boy may still be small but he sure has BIG ideas when it comes to constructing Lego block designs. We are searching for a family who can plan, assemble and create a forever home for him and his sister, Tatyana. When not building astounding Lego structures, Jordan can be found playing video and computer games. Other interests include brain-teaser games and watching X-Men. Jordan is akin to super villains or superheroes because each one possesses unique ideals, special abilities and interests that may be dissimilar from all the others. In the series, many fear or dislike them because they are different, but Jordan is seeking a family that is not the norm. Prospective families don't need to possess special powers but need to love and accept Jordan for who he is. His ideal family will recognize his wonderful aptitude in art and creative building and will offer him support with his challenges in interacting with peers, reaching developmental milestones, developing his social skills and supporting his education.

Chelsea is a beautiful 15-year-old young lady who is full of laughter and charm. She will surely impress you with her interest in designing trend-setting fashion, especially with her talent for designing and making purses. An avid reader, Chelsea also loves animals and makes friends easily within both the animal kingdom and the human world. Chelsea has spent much time lately learning and practicing how to "let go" and rise above any problems. She is a young person that has experienced various detours while searching for her positive expectations. She hopes and dreams to have a new opportunity to feel safe and loved in a home full of harmony. She is seeking a family willing to accept and promote her creative expressions while still being able to provide the best path for her in life, including assisting her in recognizing the need for guidelines.

Tatyana is a delightful, active and sociable girl who enjoys having fun! Free time is spent playing with friends outside, riding bikes, playing Jingle Bells on the piano and watching iCarly. Tatyana loves animals, especially dogs and guinea pigs, and she dreams of becoming a veterinarian. Tatyana also enjoys movies; it's no wonder that her favorite is The Twilight series since the allure of these films is based on a craving to be adored and protected by those who say they love us. Tatyana, too, desires to find a family that will adore and shelter her no matter what the obstacle. She would do best with a family that will facilitate improving her social skills and keep her on track by providing assistance with her schoolwork.

Christa, 14, is a shy but very friendly young lady. She likes to read funny books, watch television (Jersey Shore is her favorite show) and go to the mall with friends. She loves Alabama football. She enjoys going to teen night at church. She likes animals but her favorites are monkeys. Christa does average work in school but she would benefit from parents who would actively encourage and support her studies. Christa is cautious in her feelings about adoption. She says she wants a "nice family" who "don't yell" and who will understand her need to move slowly while getting to know them. In the right adoptive family, Christa is bound to blossom!

It doesn't take much to rouse Daniel into action. Always on the go, this playful adolescent enjoys horsing around. The adversity he faced at a young age has made it difficult for Daniel to reach his fullest potential, though he is working hard to catch up. Daniel is a sweet young man who struggles to fit in socially. He will do best in a nurturing and committed family that can provide him with the structure, attention and praise he requires and craves. Families must be open to continued visitation with his siblings. Daniel will do best in a home where he will not be condemned for misbehaviors and, instead, will be redirected, reassured and forgiven while his parents help promote his understanding of social cues, etiquette and traditional values.

Marvin is extremely active, full of energy and fun. He likes football and skating, and his favorite subject in school is algebra. When relaxing, he enjoys playing video games and watching sci-fi movies. When Marvin grows up, he wants to be a football player. DJ is 13 years old. He is a mild mannered youth who seeks attention and love. DJ currently is living in a group home, but will do best in a setting with a family that has patience and time to provide him the affection and attention that he seeks. He does like the outdoors and to go on outing with family and friends. He enjoys fishing. DJ does have some behavioral challenges that derive from his abandonment issues, and will need a family that is strong and self assured of their parenting skills and management techniques. He will most likely do best as being the youngest child in the home with older peer role models.

Antoine is a wonderful boy who loves to clap and hum to music! He loves music and musical toys - you can hardly get his keyboard out of his hands! He also enjoys eating French fries. Antoine likes to give and receive attention - he'll sit on your lap for hours and hold your hand! Antoine conveys his emotions and thoughts through his actions. His ideal family would be able to provide for his medical necessities and love him forever! This child would benefit from a family that can meet his medical needs.

Michael likes to feel successful and responds well to praise and rewards. He has made tremendous strides over the past year in becoming a responsible young man. He's a budding artist and loves to draw. Michael has great enthusiasm and likes to explore and meet new people; he really enjoyed summer camp. With a strong sense of ambition and determination, Bobby tackles life's challenges head-on, and prides himself in being the kind of person his little brother can look up to. He's a talented artist and history buff, and derives a lot of inspiration from his goal of one day joining the military. He also dreams of taking the road trip of a lifetime, all over the United States in a black 1967 Chevy Impala. Like lots of boys his age, Bobby enjoys hanging out with friends and talking to girls, but what sets him apart is his unending loyalty to his little brother Brian. Looking after Brian is an important part of Bobby's life, and he hopes for loving parents who will keep him and Brian together.

If you've ever wanted to know anything about snakes, then Brian is your man! He has a passionate interest in reptiles and other animals, and loves to read and talk about them with anyone who will listen! Brian possesses a sweet demeanor and a compassionate heart, and he selflessly cares for others. He looks up to his big brother, and finds a lot of his motivation to succeed through Bobby's example and encouragement. Despite the difficulties Brian has faced in his young life, he maintains an optimistic outlook on life and has made many personal strides of which he ought to be very proud.

She is bed bound and requires a tube to be fed. Rebecca is cared for by nurses twenty four hours a day in a medical facility. Skyler is 16 years old but is shy and somewhat young for his age so any concerns about not having a long relationship with this teen is not a problem. Skyler is viewed as a quiet guy. Skyler really likes anything to do with space and NASA. He really enjoys any activities or television shows that relate to astronauts and the shuttle. He also knows a lot about cars and knows all the details about engines and horsepower etc. Skyler also is a big fan of the Discovery channel and likes to watch Stormchasers and Mythbusters when his schedule allows him to. Skyler is very pleasant and a kind young man. He loves pumpkin pie and chocolate and has many other favorites as most teen boys do. He is doing well in school and at the group home he is living in. His favorite class in school is recess or to be able to play on the computer. Skyler likes to play outside riding bikes, skateboards and basketball. Inside, he will ride his skateboard on his nintendo. Skyler's behavioral and emotional needs are currently manageable in the home and school environment. His prospective parents need to offer patience and encouragement and in return will receive much joy and pleasure.

Often described by his friends as the life of the party, Manny, 14, is an irresistible charmer with a wonderfully outgoing personality. He has a large group of friends and puts a lot of stock into his relationships with people. He’s drawn to the outdoors, and especially enjoys football, basketball and skateboarding. Manny works hard off the field as well, and his proudest moment was being rewarded with a good report card. He would like to have a home with both a mom and a dad, and a family that he could spend time with. Loving parents with some therapeutic experience will be most beneficial for Manny to live up to his maximum potential.

Anthony is a Haitian male born May of 1998. Anthony is a little comedian who lives to tell jokes and make those around him laugh. Anthony also enjoys being a practical joker. Anthony enjoys playing soccer and football. He is saving up to buy a dirt bike, which shows financial responsibility. He also enjoys music and playing drums, and he gets the opportunity to play drums in church. Anthony at times has difficulty staying on task, following directions, and getting organized. Anthony has overcome a painful history that helps us to understand why he acts the way he does. Anthony struggles in school because of his behavioral challenges. Anthony will need a family that will give him much encouragement in both attempting new situations and seeing himself in a positive light.

Eric is a funny, but quiet, teenage boy who enjoys playing video games as well as basketball. He is best described as being independent, in that he does not mind being alone at times. However, when in social settings, Eric does get along well with his peers. He also likes receiving one-on-one attention from his caregivers and enjoys going to the beach. Eric's favorite foods include bagels with cream cheese and cereal and he dislikes chicken and spaghetti. Eric is also good with family pets, being the fondest of dogs. He hopes to have his own dog one day.

School does not come easily for Eric, but he is receiving the necessary educational services and his favorite subject is math. Eric needs a family that is involved in his educational needs and advocates on his behalf. At this time, Eric is not sure if he wants to attend college or go straight to work after graduating from high school.

Eric does have several siblings and while he is not being adopted with them, it is important they maintain their relationship. Therefore, he needs a family who is willing to facilitate sibling contact and support that relationship. Eric is open to either a two-parent or single parent family. Christopher has great drive and has taken some steps on his own and many steps with assistance. He has made great strides and shares his feelings through his facial expressions, sounds and behaviors. Christopher needs a family of fellow explorers with big hearts and a genuine desire to help him reach his full potential.

Anthony, 15, would have a hard time if he had to choose between going swimming or eating ice cream; he loves them both. He also appreciates music and likes to listen to all types whenever he has the chance. But his most favorite thing is playing video games. Anthony takes school very seriously and prides himself on doing well and earning excellent grades, especially in his favorite subject - math. Kind, loving parents with patience and understanding would be the right match for Anthony.

Alonzo is a sixteen-year-old who is full of life, energy and curiosity. Like his brothers, he loves spending time outdoors, engaged in virtually any activity that will use up that extra energy. Alonzo enjoys video games, playing with animals and anything having to do with race cars. Alonzo will be entering seventh grade, where he has a special educational plan with resource classes to maximize his every potential. Alonzo is also receiving therapeutic services to address issues of past abuse.

Alphonso is fifteen years old. He is very energetic and outgoing and, within moments of meeting him, you will find yourself smiling and enjoying his upbeat personality. Alphonso loves any type of outdoor activity and anything having to do with trains. Although Alphonso is an eager learner, he has difficulty processing information. He will be entering fifth grade after having successfully repeated fourth grade.

Stefan is eleven years old and very sociable. He enjoys adult attention and a certain amount of "babying". Stefan is physically healthy and, like his brothers, is very active and inquisitive. He enjoys any type of outdoor activity and being accompanied by his three small stuffed animals whenever possible. Stefan also has a specialized educational plan. He needs a family who will recognize his every potential and help develop it.

These three brothers need to find their forever family together. Currently, they reside in a group home for children with special needs. They need a special family who has the love, as well as the time, energy and patience to provide ongoing attention. Their forever family will need strong parenting skills to meet their emotional and educational needs. In return, this sibling group will complete a family with their special love, laughter and accomplishments.

The sound of children laughing, the aroma of the bus and the chaos of rush-hour traffic are all part of Deshaun's daily routine as he rides the school bus. Deshaun, 13, loves life, revels in the fresh outdoor air and finds sheer joy when participating in pet therapy sessions. These three siblings are bright-eyed and hopeful as they wait for a family that will help them learn, grow and overcome the struggles of their lives. Shane (right), 8, is charming and cautious around new people and is slow to warm up. Yet, he loves being the center of attention and will do whatever it takes to be in the spotlight. Catching and recognizing him while behaving will ensure that he continues getting caught acting appropriately. Shane would thrive with a special family, one that is able and willing to tough out the trying times yet be persistent with his love for attention. He enjoys the outdoors and playing with his sister and brother. Shane has loads of potential, but he requires the most important thing: an accepting, loving, permanent adoptive home that has a lot of patience.

Connor (bottom), 6, is a handsome and charming youngster who enjoys playing with toys, video games, football and soccer. Like his siblings, he loves to be outdoors. He can pretend to be shy when one first meets him, but once he warms up, he will melt your heart instantly. Connor is very good at finding the games on your cell phone. No cell phone available? Then, his next favorite indoor game is Tic-Tac-Toe, which he always seems to win. Connor is as attached to his brother and sister as they are to him.

Kirstin, 10, is a beautiful young lady who takes her role of big sister very seriously. She speaks quietly yet can become quite talkative and captivating simultaneously. She is full of intelligent questions regarding her life and is bursting with adoration for all people that have become part of her life. She also loves the outdoors and her long legs help her in keeping up with the fast pace of her brothers. Kirstin is very family oriented and would benefit from a family that could provide her with lots of love and positive energy. She prides herself on being a bit of a "fashionista" and is happy showing off her wardrobe.

She would also like to keep in contact with her older brother.

Devonte is a great catch! This handsome teen with short, curly, black hair and big brown eyes can be cuddly and loveable, but is also all boy! A true fisherman who loves the sport, Devonte has learned to navigate his boat on rocky waters. Devonte would love to have a family to call his own. He would do best in a two parent home where there are no other children. If there are other children, they should be much older. Devonte needs a strong family that will love and care for him as if he were their own, while providing constant attention and much nurturing. How others describe him: K'mari will give you a smile that will make your day better. He loves to be tickled.

What makes him special: K'mari wasn't expected to be born alive, then he was never expected to leave the hospital; reach the age of 3, or be off his trach, talk or have a social smile, but he has accomplished all of this.

K'mari will need supportive services throughout his life, but the joy he brings is endless.

Colossus and Tamara

Colossus and Tamara

Eight year old Colossus has eyes that sparkle and a smile to match. Colossus really looks up to his sister, Tamara, and he enjoys spending time with her. Colossus likes to make up his own math problems and one of his favorite hobbies is computer games. Collosus can be a very affectionate child when he feels safe and secure. At times Colossus does not understand boundaries, and he needs to be redirected. At times Colossus can be very helpful to his caregivers. Colossus has some special developmental needs, and he is receiving special education services. Colossus also receives speech and language services. Colossus will need a family that will be willing to accept his developmental delays and issues. Colossus and Tamara need a family who can help them learn, grow and overcome the struggles of their past.

Tamara is thirteen. She can be very quiet and reserved at times. Tamara is cautious around new people and is slow to warm up to them. Tamara needs to be adopted with her brother Colossus. Tamara enjoys helping out and taking care of her brother. She is protective of her brother and herself. Tamara needs a family that will provide her opportunities to be a kid again. School is very important to Tamara and she is in advanced classes. She is also in the band at school and plays the Zasophone. Tamara also enjoys playing the guitar, reading and writing poetry, writing short stories and singing. A family that can nurture her artistic nature would be great. According to her caregivers, Tamara is a good listener, respectful, and can be sweet. Like any other young lady starting puberty she can be oppositional at times. She responds well to redirection and patience.

She is extremely active and affectionate - she's a 'girl on the go.' Her ideal family will be willing to accept her and be there for her unconditionally. Brittany's forever family will be rewarded with a lifetime of love. This child would benefit from a family that can meet her special needs that accompany physical challenges.

Taylor "TJ" is a 15 year old quiet and shy teenage boy. He is slow to warm up to people, but over time he slowly opens up. TJ enjoys playing video games and his favorite sport is baseball. TJ would do best with a family who with either has no other children or children older than him.

Morgan is the older of two siblings. Along with her brother, Talih, they have a love of sports and doing things together. Morgan dreams of playing in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She is easy going and funny, with a special place in her heart for younger brother Talih.

Talih is a bright, caring young man who loves to eat and stay active. He's good in school and plays football and other sports with his close friends. Brother and sister also share a love for cool shoes and both agree, "you just can't have too many!."

The children are eager to be together in an active family with a variety of interests they can enjoy. They are ready to find a wonderful home with two parents who will nurture their spirit and talents for many years to come.

Christopher is an adorable blond-haired boy, who always seems to have a twinkle in his blue eyes, and a grin on his face. He is unable to communicate verbally, but is able to convey his thoughts through sign language, hugs and kisses. He is definitely an energetic and curious young man!

Christopher’s favorite pastimes include indulging in his favorite meals, playing with a particular motorized car, and helping in the kitchen! Despite his challenges, his teachers report that Christopher is making satisfactory academic progress in a class that is geared to meeting his specific needs.

Isaac is a Bi Racial Male born May of 2000. Meet Isaac, this handsome and intelligent young man who is very sharp and has a lot of wit. Issac loves outdoor activities, enjoys sports, roller skating, fishing, and camping. He also enjoys quiet moments watching a good action movie with popcorn and a soft drink. His favorites are hotdogs, hamburger, pizza, macaroni and cheese, and shrimp. Issac has expressed his love for animals and enjoys providing care for dogs. He also loves playing video games, x-box, and play stations. Issac is venturing in music and dance. He enjoys moments of listening to the melody of hip-hop, rap, and contemporary music. He performs at grade level and does well in school. Isaac loves all of his academic subjects but his favorite is Reading, which he enjoys. His least favorite is geography. He has the ability to engage and communicate positively with his peers, caregiver, educators, and others. At times Isaac can display some negative, and rebellious behaviors, but with patience and the right caregiver these behaviors can be redirected. Isaac has recently had to face a loss, and he needs a family that will help him to go through the grief process. Isaac needs a stable family that will help him to overcome his past struggles, and help prepare him for a successful future.

Luis is an inquisitive and playful young man who loves to learn. He is particularly fascinated with time, whether it be calendars, watches or clocks. Luis enjoys having multiple clocks around the house and setting them all to change time exactly at the same moment. He is frequently able to tell what weekday someone’s birthday will fall on without the help of a calendar! Luis tries his best in everything he does and is working on becoming a little more independent. He would do very well in a patient family who could nurture his insatiable desire to learn and provide the lifelong care he would require.

Nicklaus or Nick for short, is “one great kid” according to his caseworker! Shy and reserved at first, once warmed up he is outgoing and very sociable and playful. He is in the 9th grade in school but working hard to catch up. After college he is thinking of a career in the army. Nick is very athletic and he loves sports. He gets along well with others and he is very good with younger children. Nick has had a lot of losses in his life and he has been through some very tough times where he did not always make good decisions. However, he has matured and grown from his experiences and he is doing great now. He needs an adoptive family who can appreciate all the progress he has made and who will help him continue to mature into the wonderful and productive young man he is becoming; a family that he can be a part of for his entire lifetime. Nick was born in September, 1996.

Intelligent and shy, Jesse prefers the comfort of being at home. His hobbies include playing video games, reading, dancing and listening to Michael Jackson. Outside the home, Jesse enjoys brief outings such as going out to eat for Mexican food. Jesse also enjoys unearthing the history of World War II and hopes to one day become a video game designer. Jesse is currently being raised Jewish, and we are seeking families open to preserving his religious beliefs and practices. The ideal family will be committed to helping Jesse by accepting his eccentricities and unique personality, which demands a routine schedule. Although Jesse's family may need to adjust the family routine, Jesse's intelligent mind will keep them interested in what this quiet teen has in store for his future.

Aaron is a thirteen year old boy who has the sweetest smile and the best sense of humor. He is in the seventh grade and makes good grades. His favorite subject is math. Aaron enjoys playing video games, drawing, to go camping, and watching cartoons. His favorite thing about camping is the bonfires. He also enjoys going to the movies and out to eat. His favorite foods are pizza, chicken, spaghetti, fruits, vegetables, and salads. He also loves to go to church and participate in vacation bible school during the summer.

Chelsea

Chelsea is a beautiful 15-year-old young lady who is full of laughter and charm. She will surely impress you with her interest in designing trend-setting fashion, especially with her talent for designing and making purses. An avid reader, Chelsea also loves animals and makes friends easily within both the animal kingdom and the human world. Chelsea has spent much time lately learning and practicing how to “let go” and rise above any problems. She is a young person that has experienced various detours while searching for her positive expectations. She hopes and dreams to have a new opportunity to feel safe and loved in a home full of harmony. She is seeking a family willing to accept and promote her creative expressions while still being able to provide the best path for her in life, including assisting her in recognizing the need for guidelines.

He is currently placed in a special school to address some of his educational and behavioral needs.

Girls just wanna have fun, and Francesca is no exception! Energetic, this young lady is fun and talented, too. Free time is spent roller/ice skating, climbing trees, watching Tyler Perry movies, and having her iPod and headphones set just right for supreme listening enjoyment of hip hop, R&B, salsa and reggae music. She's a gifted artist who is often found drawing or sculpting. Francesca is likely to follow the crowd, so it is important to find a family that will help her make positive choices in picking friends. Francesca will do well in a family that will enjoy parenting a female teen and all it entails. Francesca is hoping to be adopted locally (Broward, St. Lucie, Martin or Palm Beach counties) and wishes to maintain contact with her siblings.

Of all the adjectives used to describe Erik, the most common is "sweet." At 14, he's a young man, with a heart of gold and an uncanny empathy for others. Even though he's a bit introverted at first, it doesn't take him too long to really open up to you, and then you're in for a treat! Erik's a fun and incredibly smart kid, and he lights up with curiosity at every new experience. He loves to read and play video games, but his favorite thing to do is go fishing. He flourishes under attention and encouragement, and he's looking forward to being part of family that loves him (and that has a pet!) Erik will do very well in a nurturing and supportive two-parent home. He's a great kid with a lot of potential--all he needs is the right mixture of love and guidance to see him through.
