Day 30
Meet Jeronda
Jeronda is a beautiful girl with a heart-warming smile. She enjoys reading chapter books and has read almost every book in the Junie B. Jones series. Since she loves math, Jeronda often helps other kids in her class with their school work. She’s a funny, articulate and helpful 10-year-old whose role model is her sister.
Basketball is her favorite sport, but her biggest love is for cheerleading. Jeronda cheers as well as dances, and she could develop any talent, she’d grow up to be a singer. She enjoys playing hide-n-go-seek, dominos and checkers and wants a future family that will not tell secrets.
Jeronda has an aunt who lives in San Diego. She’d love to take a plane trip to visit with her and also to take a stop at Sea World.

Meet Elizabeth
Elizabeth is a feisty girl who will keep you on your toes! A self-proclaimed leader, she protects those she loves and can be quite animated and expressive in efforts to get her own way. Elizabeth likes to share her opinion and is learning skills to deal with conflict. Special days include family trips, playing games, riding her bike, listening to music and watching funny movies. Families with a surplus of patience and love will be considered for this wonderful child. Families interested in adopting Elizabeth should not have any other young children or teen boys living in the home. Her ideal forever family will be strong and grounded and must consist of one strong female or a two-parent home. Parents should have the skills and ability to maintain structured, consistent rules and work with Elizabeth on her behaviors. Prospective families must also allow contact and/or visitation with other siblings.

Meet Christina
With her well-manicured nails, practiced manners and fashionable jewelry, Christina is every bit the young lady. She dreams of being a model and, with her poise, self-confidence and incredible smile, might very well accomplish that dream.
She has a mature, can-do attitude and a sense that she’s destined for something big in life. Though she’s a good student and involved in cheerleading and dance, Christina is definitely not satisfied with her current school. “It’s bad,” she says. She hopes to change to a better one soon. Christina knows how to rise above her condition, and her kindness and friendliness make her a popular girl that helps others stay on track.
A self-described “good listener,” Christina wants her future family to know that she is appreciative, outgoing and fun to be around. Christina has her sights set on a bright future and is looking for a family that will support her dreams.

Appolonia, 16, is a creative and outgoing young woman with a great sense of fashion. She has the capacity for being the sweetest person you'll meet and when she gets involved in a task that inspires her, she possesses the drive to finish it as best she can. Some of her hobbies are reading and dancing, and her favorite subject in school is math. She’s working hard to improve her grades and has made great personal strides in her young life. Appolonia needs a strong and patient family that can understand her ups and downs, and who will look beyond the difficulties to see a truly special young woman. She'll thrive in an experienced home with a lot of love and she thinks it would be nice to have a few brothers and sisters as well!

Meet Keturah
Keturah is a bright, active and educationally capable teen. She is always on the go, likes animals and would someday like to become a veterinarian. Keturah wants to be heard and will make sure she gets her point across at any cost. Keturah can have challenges managing her emotions but is learning to see the glass as half full. We are seeking a family that has experience with behaviors and is willing to be there for her no matter what. She would do best in a structured home within a nurturing and supportive environment. Other children in the home would be welcome as she is very social and can easily attach. We are seeking an African American or bi-racial family as this teen has a strong cultural identity. She is searching for a family to call her own.

“We have high hopes!”
Melissa's a driven young woman with some really big dreams. She has a passion for fashion, and her goal is to one day become the big designer that everyone wears. She worked hard at learning to sew, both by hand and machine, and she's already begun her own fashion portfolio. She aspires to one day visit the fashion mecca of Paris, and when you speak with her in person you have no doubt that she'll attain these dreams of hers. Melissa has a beautiful laugh and infectious energy, and she's filled to the brim with potential. She loves her little brother very much, and wants to see him happy as often as possible.
There's not a whole lot more you can say about a kid whose main goal in life is to become a philanthropist and world-changer of Oprah Winfrey proportions, but I'll try. Fyheem's a sweet and engaging young man with a quiet sense of humor. He's not afraid of sharing his dreams with others, and he possesses an inspiring desire to help people. He's fascinated by animals, especially wolves, and thinks that he'd like to become a veterinarian when he grows up. Fyheem's a talented athlete and a caring little brother who loves spending time with his sister, especially if they're watching the Twilight movies together, of which both kids are huge fans!
Melissa and Fyheem are beautiful kids who have an enormous amount to offer the world. What they need most is a loving home where their talents will be nurtured and their energies directed. They would like a family with a similar ethnic background as them.

Meet Tikeria
Like Kimora Lee Simmons, Tikeria dreams of owning her own fashion empire, earning millions from her very own fashion line. When not daydreaming of her future, Tikeria enjoys watching the Jamie Foxx show, playing Mancala or drawing. Tikeria would thrive in a structured, loving home that will encourage and support her as she receives therapies to deal with the many losses in her life.
Day 21
Meet Frank
Frank is a wide-eyed, alert and inquisitive child who enjoys the simple things in life and the outdoor. He likes going to the park where he can run free and observe nature. Frank is very sincere and loves to express himself through gestures. Like any young boy, Frank loves to play with toys, especially musical ones. Frank also likes to have his quiet time, as he can be a bit shy. But once he warms up to you, his introverted ways disappear.
Frank loves to eat home cooked meals and would love to have a family that enjoys eating together. Frank needs a family that will provide love, guidance, patience and consistency that every child deserves. In return, Frank will bring love and joy to his lucky future family.

Meet Kenneth
Kenneth loves to build things and is intrigued by video games, computer games and figuring out how things work. One of his favorite hobbies is Origami, the Japanese art of folding paper. Kenneth can create birds, planes and geometric shapes in minutes! He enjoys school, and his favorite subjects are math and science. While Kenneth can occupy himself for hours with Legos, he also enjoys playing basketball, soccer or skateboarding with friends. Kenneth identifies himself as Jewish and enjoys learning about his religion. He is searching for a family to call his own.
Day 19
Rosemary is a fashionable seventeen year old who loves to draw, style hair, and to read. Her favorite foods include spaghetti, Mexican, and hot wings. She loves the beach and her favorite colors are pink and green. Rosemary would like to become a tattoo artist after she graduates High School. Rosemary would like to be adopted by a family who accepts her for who she is and supports her as blossoms into adulthood.

Meet Luis
Luis is a happy –go-lucky young man with a great laugh! He loves to draw, sing and dance, but is at his best when making others laugh – he takes great pride in bringing a smile to your face with his great sense of humor. One day Luis hopes to get married and raise children of his own, but right now he’s focused on having fun playing Nintendo and listening to Latin music. The beach is one of his favorite places to go, and he’s a big lover of animals, especially dogs. He plans to be a veterinarian when he grows up. Luis is working hard at demonstrating better behavior so he can get the Christmas presents he wants. The best gift, he says, “would be a family that will love me unconditionally.”

Meet Montel
Montel speaks proudly about the Spanish mackerel and barracuda he caught while fishing. This confident and friendly young man likes a variety of music including hip-hop, rap and R&B. Although he listens mainly to hip hop, he named country music stars Tim McGraw and Toby Keith as his two favorite performers.
Although this big sports fanatic wants to be a professional football player, he recently went to a golf camp and now likes that sport as well. In school, Montel’s favorite subject is science and he’s most proud of making a level D in his placement assessment. He also has artistic abilities and can draw and sculpt. Montel short-term goal is to do well in school and he wants his future family to know he would be a good and successful son.

Meet Coral
Coral is very social and talkative! Her personality shines when she tells stories (which she loves to do), and she's quite animated when she speaks. She also enjoys roller skating and riding her bike. Coral does well at her classes in school, and she can be very playful and energetic. Coral loves lots of one-on-one attention from adults. Coral's ideal forever family will be patient, loving, structured and devote lots of time and attention to her!

“I’d like to be President!”
Charlie, 13, is an especially personable and engaging kid. He flourishes in social situations, and truly enjoys making new friends. People are naturally drawn to his great sense of humor, and his wonderful personality makes him popular with adults and peers alike. An intelligent young man, Charlie's favorite subjects in school are math and writing, and this year he's working on straight As. His ultimate goal is to one day become President of the United States, a job for which he seems well-suited. But for now, Charlie is happy to play soccer and baseball.

Meet Aaliyah
Aaliyah is a joyous and entertaining young woman who hopes one day to become a crime fighter and to serve the public as a police officer. A good student at school, she loves to read and enjoys language arts as her favorite subject.
With her captivating smile and bright eyes, Aaliyah is bound to draw the attention of a loving family.

Meet Jada
Jada is a lovely girl looking for a forever family to call her own. She enjoys playing dress up and watching TV. Jada has a large extended family and siblings she would like to remain in contact with. She continues to struggle with the loss she has experienced and requires redirection and supervision to remain on track. Interested families should be patient and available to provide Jada with the support she needs.

Meet Jeremiah
Jeremiah enjoys playing basketball and football and would like to play professionally one day. This easy-going teen likes eating at McDonalds and Burger King, and playing racing video games. He hopes to be a Metro bus driver when he grows up. Jeremiah is an honor roll student who admires President Barack Obama and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He wants his future family to know that he is a good kid, funny and focused on getting a great education.
Day 8
Meet Travino
Travino, 12, is athletic and always game to play any sport. Indoor hobbies include playing video games, reading Diary of A Wimpy Kid, watching Spongebob on television and watching movies like the Smurfs. Favorite board games include Sorry, Mancala and Monopoly. Travino is sometimes quiet, somewhat serious and often silly. When he wants to be, he is very helpful, respectful and a lot of fun to be around. Like most kids, Travino loves to get his way and will protest when he does not. He has high energy and is impulsive at times and doesn't always think about the consequences of his actions. He admits that he gets mad a lot; especially when he doesn't get his way, but he is learning and practicing skills to manage his emotions. School can be challenging for Travino, but he is proud of the recent improvements he has made. With his commitment and rededication to his schoolwork and the support of a tutor,Travino has has raised his scores by two whole grades! Travino hopes he will find a forever family that will be proud of his accomplishments no matter how big or small. He hope they will support him and make him feel confident in achieving his goals. Travino also longs for a family that will compliment him and make him feel special, even though he feels shy and a bit embarrassed when they do. Travino enjoys Christian rap and hopes to join a family of the same faith and values. He prefers to join a family with both a mother and a father, if possible. He loves dogs and would love to have family pets. Travino also wishes to maintain in contact with his siblings and cousins.
Day 7
Meet Darrell
Darrell is a friendly and outgoing young man who loves sports, computers, hip-hop music and super heroes. He's got a warm, charismatic smile and a very vivid imagination. If he were a superhero, he'd have a special power of invisibility so he could step in and stop trouble without being seen.
He loves to read and has a knack for fixing computers. He's quite adept at Excel and PowerPoint. Darrell is a freestyle rap artist who can easily recite one of his many creative rap songs. With an athletic build and a resemblance to Magic Johnson, basketball is Darrell's favorite sport.
Darrell dreams of one day living in his own mansion, one that will include a star-shaped pool and a movie theater.
His confidence along with his great imagination is what helps him talk openly abut his love of family and life. Although he already has six older sisters, he is looking for a loving family that will take care of him.
Day 6
Quasan was born in 1997, and is a sweet and charming young man who loves to be social. A very caring person, he has a "heart of gold." Quasan works hard to stay on track in school, and his favorite subject is math. He loves baseball and going to church, and really looks up to his big brother.

Meet Yoselin
Yoselin is a pretty, outgoing and a happy teenager who is full of life. And she is looking for family that fits that same description.
While most teens define their goals in terms of earning good grades or making a sports team, Yoselin has her sights set on other accomplishments. Her greatest deed so far has been to find her sister and now she’s focused on locating her brother and other family members. Despite being separated from her family, Yoselin still finds the good in life.
She enjoys playing video games, listening to music and playing flag football. Her favorite subject in school is reading and she hopes to become a Crime Scene Investigator. Yoselin has a strong sense of self-esteem – she’s very proud of the young woman that she’s become. All she needs now is a family that loves her for who she is.

Meet Keturah

Meet Sammy
Samuel has many diverse talents and interests including sports and the arts. He plays basketball and has recently been involved in a karate class; he also loves to watch football on TV. Samuel is a great dancer, too, and loves to break dance. He dreams of becoming a police officer in his community. Samuel currently attends a school to help him improve his frustration tolerance. He feels he would be an asset to any household and would love the opportunity to have a loving and caring family. He would do well in a two-parent home with lots of structure and guidance.
Day 2
Meet Epson
Epson dreams of becoming an astronomer. He’s an excellent student, with a special interest in science, and spends his time gazing at the sky through his telescope and is especially proud of completing his science projects. Epson’s interests extend to sports and include basketball and bowling for which he has set a goal to improve his play this year. He loves the park, playing Connect 4 and is proud of the fact that he is good at saving money. Like many young men, Epson is a fan of Iron Man and the Wolverine. Jazz, rock, pop and classical music are some of his favorite sounds, and he would love to learn how to play the guitar. Epson would love to have a family that is nice and playful, and one that embraces his talkative and funny side.

"I’m going to change the world."
It’s difficult to summarize all of who Shyanne is in a few sentences. Creative writer. Loyal friend. Cheerleader. Talented artist. Spunky, fun-loving young woman. But the most impressive above all her many attributes is her desire and ability to become an advocate for those who have no voice. Shyanne leads with her heart, striving to help others whenever possible, and she has the compassion and drive to make a difference in the world. Shyanne will flourish in a home with a strong male presence and she’s looking forward to having the unconditional love and support of a forever family who will "always be there" for her.
